No-Churn Coffee Ice Cream

There’s nothing better on a hot summer day than homemade coffee ice cream! Luckily, you don’t even have to have an ice cream maker to enjoy rich, smooth coffee ice cream at home. Our no-churn recipe combines strongly brewed coffee along with sweetened condensed milk and freshly whipped cream to make a rich, delicious ice cream you can whip up quickly.

You could use any of our coffees with delicious results but we recommend a dark roast for the most intense coffee flavor. Our simple recipe was tested with our Organic Espresso Dark Roast, which is available at your local retailer.  Organic Espresso Dark is a blend of coffees from Central and South America. The combination of these beans produces a beautiful thick crema. It’s equally delicious as a drip coffee as well as espresso. And the smooth flavor blends perfectly into our no-churn coffee ice cream recipe.

This recipe makes about 8 cups of creamy, coffee-flavored ice cream, which you can easily customize with add-ins. We like the combination of chopped dark chocolate and coffee beans.  The coffee beans add crunch and an extra burst of flavor while the chocolate compliments the rich undertones in the flavor. You can add in up to a 1/4 cup of any complementary ingredient for added taste and texture. Just make sure you chop them up into small pieces so it’s evenly distributed throughout the ice cream!
