WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
The SWISS WATER Process is a 100% chemical free coffee decaffeination process that results in great-tasting decaf. Most other processes use chemical solvents, like methylene chloride, to decaffeinate coffee beans. Conversely, the SWISS WATER Process uses only water when removing caffeine, along with temperature and time. It takes about ten hours for the process to happen, but the result is water processed decaf coffee that is 99.9% caffeine free. Another benefit of a chemical free process is that it preserves the flavors that are locked inside the bean, so you get the best tasting decaf coffee.
After the green beans have been decaffeinated, they are shipped to us and we roast them to order to create our single origin Colombian Decaf Dark Roast. This coffee tastes just like a single origin Colombian Dark Roast, as it should. The decaf part of the label shouldn’t matter, and with the SWISS WATER Process it doesn’t. You still get all of the flavor, just none of the caffeine.
