Charleston Coffee Roasters - How to Use Our Cold Brew Single Serve Pods

Many of us drink cold brew coffee year-round, but it is especially refreshing and delicious when it’s hot outside. As the name implies, cold brew coffee is made with room temperature or cold water. The grounds are actually steeped in the water over a period of time which results in lower acidity and a smoother, naturally slightly sweeter taste in the finished coffee. It differs from iced coffee in that the latter is brewed hot, and then poured over ice to cool it down. Both are often brewed stronger to create something akin to a coffee concentrate, and then diluted with water or milk to create a perfect blend.

Our Cold Brew coffee blend is a Dark Roast that is rich, full-bodied and flavorful with sweet notes of chocolate and a super smooth finish. Until recently, you could only find our Cold Brew coffee already brewed in mason jars in the prepared foods aisle at select Whole Foods in the Southeast. But so many of you were asking for it, that we decided to package it into a Single Serve Pod so that everyone can now easily make Cold Brew at home.

The steps to brew our Single Serve Cold Brew pods are really simple. Just follow this handy how-to to get the perfect cup every time, and then order a box or two to have on hand for sunny days ahead!
