Coffee Profile
Coffee
Our medium roast Papua New Guinea coffee, Lot #NM49, is grown and processed in the Nebilyer Valley in Papua New Guinea and includes Typica, Bourbon, and Arusha bean varietals. Grown at 5,200 feet above sea level, this coffee is sourced from smallholder farms from Ambra, Kelewa, and Wurup in the upper Waghi Valley region. The coffee is processed at the Kuta Kofi mill where it is sorted and de-pulped before being fermented in vats for 36 hours. The coffee is washed 3 times and then brought to large sun-drying fields where it is fully sun-dried on tarpaulins for 3 to 4 hours per day for a period of 5 to 10 days depending on weather conditions. The dry parchment is taken to the dry mill and placed in wooden conditioning bins where it is allowed to rest for 2 to 3 weeks prior to hulling.
Discover this exceptional Micro Lot coffee from Papua New Guinea and enjoy this beautifully smooth single lot of coffee with notes of black tea, chocolate, and citrus.
