Sumatran coffees are some of the most popular on the market today. After drinking our Organic Sumatra you’ll know why. By paying close attention to the roasting process, we are able bring out the many complex flavors this single origin coffee.
Sumatran beans are typically dark-roasted to highlight their full bodies and low acidity. These unique characteristics are a result of wet-hulling, the most common processing method used by Sumatran farmers. Since the climate in this Indonesian island is so moist, farmers partially dry the beans on site and then twice more after leaving the farm, thus producing a rich, complex flavor and aroma.
Given its bold flavor, our Organic Sumatra pairs particularly well with rich and creamy foods. The hints of chocolate will make you want to leave out the milk and sugar. New to Dark Roasts? This is a great one to try; you’ll no doubt enjoy the full flavor and smooth finish even when the coffee has cooled slightly or over ice.

As coffee snobs, we have tried literally 100s of brands. I found this one at Fresh Market 3 years ago. Since then,
we have not bought any other coffee brand. The coffee is rich, smooth and flavorful, not bitter or a burnt taste. It is a good wake me up coffee in the morning or an afternoon pick me up. When I travel, I cannot wait to get back home for a “good cup of coffee”.

It is very difficult to find SINGLE ORGIN Coffee. I enjoy not drinking a blend. Your coffee I can trust and the Sumatra is rich and not bitter as many dark roasted. I buy my Charleston coffee at fresh market but they didn’t carry organic Sumatra till this week. Publix carries your coffee but not this single ORGIN the ne. God bless your company 😁

We have been drinking Charleston Coffee Roasters coffee for six years. We have kept our own ratings for each coffee we’ve tried. Five Stars is our highest rating and One Star is our lowest rating. It is hard to pick a favorite, but we think Organic Sumatra is the BEST coffee we’ve EVER had followed closely by Bulldog Blend, Battalion Blend and Charleston Blend. You won’t be disappointed.

I was introduced to your coffee at a Costco sample station. The Organic Sumatra is probably some of the best coffee Ive ever had, and it does not upset my stomach like blends do. I would give a perfect rating, but… 1. the price recently went up by $4.00 a bag at Publix to $15.49 and that puts wonderful coffee out of the reach of a large part of the population, and 2. Publix only carries this one in select stores and not every store. Its not easy to get my hands on it (the closest Fresh Market is 50 miles away). But thank you for a wonderful coffee and PLEASE never change the single origin and the way you roast. Its absolutely perfect.
