Medium Roast Battalion Blend is a smooth, sweet blend of masterfully roasted Guatemalan beans. This unique small-batch coffee, along with a Dark Roast Bulldog Blend, is being released by Charleston Coffee Roasters in collaboration with The Citadel Athletics as its official coffee.
South American coffees are known for their bright flavor and strong citrus notes, and Battalion Blend is no exception. To highlight its acidity and floral/citrus notes, this well-rounded craft coffee is best brewed in a French press, or by using the pour-over method. For an iced coffee, the slow extraction of the cold brew method maximizes the flavor of this sweet roast.
Given its bright profile, Battalion Blend is the perfect way to start your day. Its citrusy, smooth flavor shines without the need for sugar or milk. It pairs well with both sweet and savory breakfast dishes, but can be enjoyed any time of day.

So glad I got the Battalion Blend in my first subscription order, I really loved it!!!
If you’re like me & don’t like a really dark/strong roast, this blend is for you! It brews a really lovely anytime of day coffee that I throughly enjoyed black (which is how I judge/rate coffee) as well as with sweetener. I imagine this blend wiould be delightful using pressed or pour over brew methods (my constantly running late self has not yet had time to do either 😆).
I will say that if you like to add flavored syrups to your coffee, then maybe head over to Loggerhead Sea Turtle Blend or maybe Kiawah Organic as the subtleties of Battalion Blend gets lost.

We have been drinking Charleston Coffee Roasters coffee for six years. We have kept our own ratings for each coffee we’ve tried. Five Stars is our highest rating and One Star is our lowest rating. Battalion Blend is a Five Star. It is truly a delicious blend. We love it.

This is my first time trying the Battalion Blend, after drinking all names of grocery store coffee (I don’t grind my own) this has earned a special place in my heart. I use an Aeropress multiple times a day, and this is so smooth with all the feel good flavors! Great any time of year, my only problem is our Food Lion doesn’t keep it in stock ( :
